Lund Water System Upgrade & Conversion Plan Open House

Hello Lund Water Property Owners and Users,

The Lund water system is facing challenges with poor water quality, aging infrastructure and the likelihood of needing significant capital upgrades in the near future.

Plans and more plans to tackle these challenges in a manner appropriate to our small community have been in the works for several years. The 2026 Upgrade Plan to be presented at the April 18th Open House is the culmination of this planning process. The Goal: A reliable system delivering safe, clean water to the Lund community.

Information presented at the Open House will address

• Rationale for converting the Lund Water Improvement District to a Regional District service;
• Details on proposed water treatment, increased reservoir capacity and distribution system improvements and additions;
• Costs and tax implications;
• How the project will be approved;
• What happens next.

You will have an opportunity to speak directly with the project engineer and other personnel knowledgeable about the project and to get answers to your questions.

The Upgrade Plan is a major undertaking for the Lund community. The objective of the Open House is to ensure those who will be directly affected are well-informed. You are strongly encouraged to attend.
